  • What do I do if I have an emergency?

    • Our practice does not manage direct emergencies. If you have a psychiatric emergency, please call 911 or visit the nearest emergency room immediately. For urgent but non-life-threatening matters, please contact our office during business hours.

  • What can I expect at an initial visit?

    • During an initial visit, a thorough psychiatric evaluation is conducted where your medical history is reviewed, current symptoms are discussed, and any specific concerns are addressed. This process helps form a diagnosis and creates a personalized treatment plan. ​​

  • What can I expect at a follow-up visit?

    • During a follow-up visit, your mental health progress is discussed, medications are reviewed, and your treatment plan is adjusted based on your individual needs.

  • How often do I have to follow up? 

    • Follow-up durations will depend on provider and the stability of your mental health.

  • What ages are seen?

    • We see ages 4 to 45​.

  • What are the common mental health diagnoses that are treated?

    • These include depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, autism, and behavioral concerns.​

  • What insurances are accepted?

    • Aetna, Capital Blue Cross, Blue Cross Blue Sheild, Independent Blue Cross, AmeriHealth, United Healthcare/ Optum, Quest and secondary insurances accepted are CCBH and Performcare​.

  • How do I request medication refills? 

    • The easiest way to request medications is during your visit. If you run out of medications between visits, you can request medications through your CHARM portal.

  • ​What is your cancellation policy?

    • We respectfully request that you notify us at least 48 hours prior to cancelling or rescheduling your appointment. Late cancellations or missed appointments may result in a fee. ​​

  • What is a Psychiatric Mental-Health Nurse Practitioner?

    • A psychiatric nurse practitioner is a provider who specializes in mental health. She/he is licensed to assess, diagnose, and treat all behavioral, emotional, and psychiatric disorders.  â€‹

  • How do I get more information?
